This evenings post will feature the makeup look I usually wear for work, which is at a busy and lively pub. I work quite a bit throughput each week and so looking good whilst on the job is something that is very important to me, I’m not  the type of girl who doesn’t make an effort just because its 'work', whether its a standard pub job or a fancy office PR internship/job, i will always, at least try and make a bit of an effort.

The usual look i go for is quite a good coverage, a subtle contour, highlight, blush, a few sweeps of mascara and then a slick of a fairly understated lipstick. I prefer to go for a toned down eye makeup look mainly because its easier and a bit more fresh than pilling on eye shadow and eyeliner.

This look features a handful of products, drugstore and higher end, my MAC foundation was a must today as I’m having a bad skin week and so much in need of a higher coverage, I LOVE my MAC highlight (the pictures don’t do it justice) as it leaves the perfect glow on my cheeks without being overly glittery and just makes me feel and look fresh and glowing, (i even got a compliment off one of the regulars the day I wore this product.) My falsies mascara is a MUST for amazing long eyelashes, my cream blush gives a pretty pop of colour on the cheeks complimenting the contour and highlight, and my lipstick which is from rimmel, is a gorgeous purpely pink, which when blotted is the perfect colour for work, and not too OTT.

So there you have it, my work makeup menu, i hope you enjoyed this post and it gave you some inspiration that your job doesn’t have to mean a no makeup day, and with the right products you can achieve a pretty but subtle makeup look for work.

Love this and I think it was a great idea for a post as I sometimes struggle to strike the perect balance between no make up and a fully made up look at work :) The lipstick shade is beaut!
