Skincare: Trilogy Certified organic rosehip oil

We often come across the words "rosehip seed oil" while reading the ingredients list on skincare products. But it wasn't until former Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr name dropped it as the secret to her radiant complexion that we explored further. Harvested from the seeds of rose bushes predominately grown in Chile, rosehip seed oil is full of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids that are known to correct dark spots and hydrate dry, itchy skin, all while reducing scars and fine lines. With beauty benefits like these, we believe rosehip seed oil has the potential to become the next coconut oil.' -

I thought I would begin this post with a quote I quite liked on the benefits of using rosehip oil, because there are just so many, and it has become one of the most converted product over the last year, for both celebrities and us working woman. I bought trilogy’s certified organic rosehip oil about 6 months ago, after one of the beauty editors at Closer magazine, who I had the pleasure of working with swore by it, and so naturally I couldn’t resist testing it out myself. This product is £16.00 which is amazing considering most other facial oils are ridiculously priced such a Clarins, Clinique and Kiehls. I’d never tried any trilogy products before, yet I’d heard about their line through the blogging and editorial grapevine.

They base their philosophy on using organic ingredients, which is great, as I’m all for natural and gentle formulations. This product is just gorgeous and definitely worth a lot more than £16.00 in my opinion, the product size is very generous and uses a nice droplet, which is handy as it means you can monitor how much you use. I use about 2-3 drops of the stuff, rub it in my hands and then apply, dabbing it onto my skin of an evening, after toning and before moisturising. After using this for many months I can confidently say that it totally revamped my complexion and made it more glowing and healthy looking.

I don’t really get as many spots as I use to, but more over, I think it has helped my overall skin health, my makeup goes on a lot more flawlessly and easily whereas before my foundation sort of sunk into my pores, dry areas and lines. I wouldn't say its a wonder product for acne, or tackles really bad scarring or redness, its just an added supplement for your skin, much like making yourself a green juice in the morning for your body's overall health, its an extra step in ensuring your skin is moisturised and given the nutrients it needs. I would definitely recommend using an oil of an evening, even if its from a different brand, it can definitely change your skin and give you a healthier, more nourished appearance.

I just recently got into facial oils and my skin seems to love them although it's a bit more on the oily side. I think I'll need to try this one next :)
